Senate Approves Extension and Expansion of Home Buyer Tax Credit
Last Night the Senate approved the Extension and Expansion of the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit. This should be a done deal by Friday, November 6th, 2009. The new bill will allow for the Extension of the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit through April, 30th, 2010. Also the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit will be Expanded to Move Up Buyers allowing them a $6,500.00 credit. Here is CNBC’s Diana O’lick
Keep in mind, in order to extend and expand the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit, the Senate had to attach it to the Bill extending Unemployment Benefits. Still This will help Home Buyers throughout Northern Virginia to buy that first home, or go out and take advantage of these home prices and interest rates by buying a new home. This will help the Northern Virginia Real Estate Market even though inventories are still low.
